Nguyen Xuan MinhCFA

Co-Founder, Chairman & Fund Manager

Minh has 19 years of investment and fund management experience. Prior to co-founding VAM in 2006, Minh was with Franklin Templeton Investments for greater than 9 years. He joined Templeton Emerging Market Group, led by Dr. Mark Mobius, in 1997 as an Investment Analyst and subsequently, Chief of Representative Office for Templeton in Vietnam. Relocated to Singapore in 1998, Minh remained with Templeton till December 2006 as the Senior Vice President of the Group.

During his time at Franklin Templeton Investments, Minh was involved in co-managing a number of public and private equity funds. He was also involved in analyzing and evaluating many private and public investment opportunities in Taiwan, Korea and Vietnam. Being the technology sector analyst for the Group, Minh reviewed investment recommendations of technology companies in emerging markets. He was also a member of the Group's South East Asian Review team, which reviews investment recommendations by the analysts in the region. Minh currently sits in the Board of Directors of some Vietnamese companies such as Vietnam Airlines and Techcom Securities.

Minh earned a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Moscow under full government scholarship and a Master degree in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a licensed fund manager in Vietnam. He speaks Vietnamese, English and Russian.

Thieu Thi Nhat Le's image

Thieu Thi Nhat LeMBA


Le has 14 years’ communications, marketing and management experience, including 6 years in top executive management at VAM. She started her career as a Senior Project Coordinator at the International Relations department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUT), one of the largest universities in Vietnam, for nearly 5 years where she was in charge of coordinating cooperation projects and exploring overseas collaboration opportunities for HUT with foreign partners. Subsequently, Le joined media industry for about 5 years where she consolidated her skills and gained further experience in communications and marketing.

Le holds a Bachelor degree in English Literature and Linguistics from Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities and a Master of Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management, the Netherlands. During her MBA course, Le won awards for the Best Integrative Paper (Thesis) and the Second Best Student of the Intake. Le is a licensed Fund Manager in Vietnam. She speaks Vietnamese and English.

Dao Loc Thanh's image

Dao Loc Thanh

Investment Director

Thanh has 9 years of equity trading, investment analysis and portfolio management experience in Vietnam.

Before becoming Investment Director at VAM, Thanh had accumulated eight years of investment research and analysis as well as trading experience being a Research Assistant, then an Investment Analyst cum Trader at the Company. His experience gained in these years is invaluable as the stock market went from peak to trough, exhibiting many peculiarities of an infant stock market. Throughout his years working in various positions at VAM, Thanh has demonstrated strong analytical skills and research capabilities, extensive knowledge of the Vietnam stock market, resourcefulness, and a high level of commitment. He was appointed Head of Research in 2013, and subsequently Investment Director in June 2015.

Thanh earned his Bachelor degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City. Thanh is a licensed Fund Manager in Vietnam. He speaks Vietnamese and English.

Nguyen Hong Nhung's image

Nguyen Hong Nhung


Nhung has 6 years experience in banking, fund administration and investment analysis in Vietnam.

Prior to joining VAM, she was with Shinhan Bank Vietnam (a Korean bank) for more than 4 years where her coverage kept expanding from account opening to financial analysis, credit rating, compliance check and other banking services for clients. Nhung proved to have good analytical and management skills, delivered excellent performance and was constantly awarded Best Staff of The Year during her time with the bank.

Nhung obtains a Bachelor degree in Banking and Finance (Distinction) from Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City and a Bachelor degree in English Language from Social Sciences and Humanities of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She is a CFA Level 3 Candidate. She speaks English and Vietnamese.

Le Vu Van Anh's image

Le Vu Van Anh


Anh has 3 years of data, financial and investment analysis experience in Vietnam and the United States.

Prior to joining VAM, she was with the Bank of Tokyo – Mitsubishi UFJ, Ho Chi Minh City Branch, where she covered financial analysis, credit rating and banking operation for more than 60 Japanese SMEs out of the bank’s clients, who have operations in Vietnam. Before that, she worked at Universal Service Administrative Company in the U.S. for one year, where she acquired and validated data from telecommunication carriers participating in the company’s High Cost Program and performed financial analysis.

Anh obtains a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with major in Finance Concentration and Financial Analysis (Graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honor) from James Madison University, the United States. She was a member of Beta Alpha Psi (Honor Society for finance, accounting, and information systems students and professionals). She speaks English and Vietnamese.
