Nguyen Xuan Minh, CFA
CEO & CIO
Minh has 16 years of investment and fund management experience. Prior to co-founding VAM, Minh was with Franklin Templeton Investments for greater than 9 years. He joined Templeton Emerging Market Group, led by Dr. Mark Mobius, in 1997 as an Investment Analyst and subsequently, Chief of Representative Office for Templeton in Vietnam. Relocated to Singapore in 1998, Minh remained with Templeton till December 2006 as the Senior Vice President of the Group.
During his time at Franklin Templeton Investments, Minh was involved in co-managing a number of public and private equity funds. He was also involved in analyzing and evaluating many private and public investment opportunities in Taiwan, Korea and Vietnam. Being the technology sector analyst for the Group, Minh reviewed investment recommendations of technology companies in emerging markets. He was also a member of the Group's South East Asian Review team, which reviews investment recommendations by the analysts in the region.
Minh earned a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Moscow under full government scholarship and a Master degree in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a licensed fund manager in Vietnam. He speaks Vietnamese, English and Russian.

Nguyen Hoai Thu, CFA
Investment Director & Head of Research
Thu has 10 years of investment and fund management experience. Prior to joining VAM in 2007, Thu worked in consultancy, investment banking and asset management in Singapore. Thu started her career in finance at DBS Bank, where she worked as an analyst in the Asset Securitisation team, contributing to some of the first Real Estate Investment Trust IPOs and secondary offerings in Singapore. Subsequently, Thu transferred to DBS Asset Management, where she covered the real estate sector for Asian equity portfolios and oversaw a global property securities fund.
Thu's last position in Singapore was Portfolio Manager at BankInvest - a leading Scandinavian asset manager, where she co-managed Asian ex-Japan equities, with primary coverage of real estate, utilities, industrial, and consumer sectors.
Thu earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (1st class Honors) from National University of Singapore under the prestigious Dr. Goh Keng Swee Scholarship, awarded by the Association of Banks in Singapore, for which she was the first Vietnamese recipient. Throughout her academic career, Thu won numerous prizes and awards, and represented both Vietnam and Singapore in a number of international competitions and events. Thu is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a licensed fund manager in Vietnam. Thu speaks English and Vietnamese.

Thieu Thi Nhat Le, MBA
Head, Business Development
Le has 11 years of experience in management , including nearly 6 years in finance. Prior to joining VAM in 2008, Le worked in education and media. She started her career as a Senior Project Coordinator / Interpreter at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUT), one of the largest universities in Vietnam, for nearly 5 years where she was in charge of coordinating cooperation projects between HUT and its foreign partners as well as interpreting seminars, workshops, meetings, etc. She was also involved in exploring overseas collaborative opportunities for HUT.
Subsequently , Le joined the television station of Ba Ria – Vung Tau as an interpreter for 4 years where she consolidated her advanced translation skills by translating documentary, educational and entertainment TV programs from English into Vietnamese.
Le obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Linguistics from Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities and a Master of Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management, the Netherlands. During her MBA course, Le won awards for the Best Integrative Paper (Thesis) and the Second Best Student of the Intake. Le speaks Vietnamese and English.

Dao Loc Thanh
Senior Investment Analyst
Thanh has 5 years of investment analysis and equity trading experience.
Before becoming an investment analyst at Vietnam Asset Management Ltd. (VAM), Thanh was the Research Executive cum Trader at VAM for two years, which helped him to consolidate his research and analytical skills as well as to build up his knowledge and experience about Vietnam equity market.
Thanh earned his Bachelor degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City. Thanh also obtained a Securities Analysis and Investment Certificate from the State Securities Commission of Vietnam. Thanh speaks Vietnamese and English.

Nguyen Thi Hanh Le
Investment Analyst
Le joined VAM after graduating with a Master of Science in Investments from University of Birmingham with Disctinction. Before that she obtained a Bachelor of Economics (First Class Honours) from University of Bradford under a scholarship. During her time at University of Bradford, Le was awarded the Best Performance prize by the Department of Economics for 2007-2008 academic year. Furthermore, she received the Best student in Mathematics award (2006-2007) while she was studying A level at Brooke House College, Leicestershire under the full scholarship of the College.
Le gained experience in trading, risk monitoring and analysis during her internship at Global Market Department of Deutsche Bank, Vietnam – one of famous foreign banks/custodians in Vietnam.
Le speaks Vietnamese and English.
